'there tonight," Rinne said. "Hopefully,'

Geplaatst 11 Mei 2017, 05:52

DENVER -- The sudden resurgence of the Denver Nuggets has a lot to do with Randy Foyes surprising scoring punch. Bastian Schweinsteiger Germany Jersey . Foye had a season-high 24 points and the Nuggets beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 101-88 Thursday night for their fourth win in a row after an eight-game losing streak. It was the second time in two games that Foye, who hit six 3-pointers, established a season high. He was coming off a 23-point effort in which he made seven 3s in Denvers victory over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday. "I think its from my preparation, just understanding that every single day, no matter if I make six 3s in a game or seven, that I have to come in the next day and be ready to work," said Foye, who had struggled to find the range from beyond the arc earlier this season. "You put yourself in situations, if you work and do the right things, so that when you get in a game, nothing is foreign to you." All that work on polishing his perimeter shot has been paying off. Foye has made 17 of 29 3-point attempts during Denvers winning streak. His latest effort helped the Nuggets overcome Kevin Durants 30 points as Denver beat the Thunder for the first time in three tries this season. The teams meet a final time in Oklahoma City on March 24. Quincy Miller, making his first career start, had nine points while playing in place of Wilson Chandler, who remains day to day after straining his left groin against Boston, the team said. "To beat a team like that, without Wilson and having young guys in there and not being that deep on the bench, was huge," Foye said. Evan Fournier had 19 points, including four 3-pointers, and Ty Lawson added 16 points and 14 assists for Denver. Kenneth Faried grabbed 14 rebounds. Fournier said he fed off Foyes offensive output and the up-tempo pace set by Lawson. "It gives you confidence, and the crowd was great tonight. The passing game was great," Fournier said. "I had a lot of wide-open shots that made the work a lot easier." Reggie Jackson scored 13 and Derek Fisher 12 for the Thunder. Serge Ibaka, who missed Tuesday nights 112-101 loss at Utah because of flu-like symptoms, had eight points and 10 rebounds in his return. "Tonight, we didnt get a lot of good looks offensively and we didnt move the ball well enough," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. "We took a lot of tough shots and our timing wasnt where it needs to be and we missed a lot of 3s. "Everything that happened tonight is correctable, which is good. Its not that we had issues. The fact is, everything that we did wrong tonight we can go back and get better." The Thunder missed their first 10 shots from 3-point range before Jackson and Durant each connected from beyond the arc on successive possessions, pulling Oklahoma City to 72-59. Denver answered with several 3s over the next 6 minutes. Foye and Fournier hit two apiece, Lawson converted a three-point play and the Nuggets extended their lead to 89-66 by the end of the third quarter. Overall, the Nuggets outscored the Thunder 29-15 in the third to build a 23-point lead heading into the final period. Oklahoma City didnt make a significant dent in Denvers advantage the rest of the way. Despite getting 24 points from Durant in the first half, the Thunder trailed 60-51. After Durant made a pair of free throws to pull Oklahoma City to 50-47 with 2:22 left in the second quarter, the Nuggets closed with a 10-4 burst punctuated by Lawsons 3-pointer from the top of the key in the waning moments of the period. NOTES: Durant scored 30 or more points for the 19th time this season. ... The Thunder lost consecutive games for the third time this season. ... Lawson has had five consecutive double-doubles, the longest such streak of his career. ... Foye has scored in double figures in seven straight games. The Blue Jackets play Thursday night at New Jersey in their first game after the NHLs Olympic hiatus. A native of Trencin, Slovakia, Gaborik has represented his country at the 2006 and 2010 Olympics but was unable to play in Sochi because of his injury. http://www.germanysoccerporshop.com/authentic-ilkay-gundogan-germany-jersey/ . Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema scored two goals each Wednesday night in a 6-1 rout of Schalke in the first leg of their second-round matchup. "We played a very, very good match," Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said. "We got well into the match, scored two early goals and that opened the game and left us able to counter and to use the speed of our players. NASHVILLE -- Artem Anisimov just keeps scoring for the Columbus Blue Jackets. Anisimov had the only goal of the game with 6:25 remaining in the third period and Sergei Bobrovsky made 28 saves to lead the Blue Jackets to a 1-0 victory over the Nashville Predators on Saturday night. It was the sixth goal in the last six games for Anisimov, who also has scored the last four game-winners for Columbus. With the game still scoreless, James Wisniewski sent a pass from the left circle to Anisimov at the left faceoff dot. Anisimov carried the puck to the goal line before cutting toward the Nashville net and sliding a backhander by Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne just inside the far post. "He skated down the ice and he actually made the drop to me," Wisniewski said of Anisimov. "I love when the D-man just stays there because then the forward just skates right around them, make a quick pass, and hes all alone with the goalie. He made a great move and scored." The Predators have lost four in a row and seven of their last eight. They have scored just three goals in their last four games, and it was Bobrovskys third shutout of the season for Columbus, which has won four of five. "Weve been shooting enough pucks, were just not finding the back of the net," Nashville coach Barry Trotz said. "There are a lot of dry players." Making his third consecutive start after being sidelined since late October with an infection in his hip, Rinne made 35 saves. "I felt confident and I felt comfortable out there tonight," Rinne said. "Hopefully, myself too, I can improve all the time." Rinnne faced just five shots in the first, but with 5:45 remaining in the opening frame, he denied Ryan Johansens wrist shot attempt from the right side off of a 2-on-1 break. Thomas Muller Germany Jersey. Midway through the second, Rinne got his blocker on Boone Jenners shot from the right circle. Nashville dominated the shots on goal in the first period, outshooting the Blue Jackets 14-5. "I though guys did a great job in front of me," Bobrovsky said of his defencemen. "They shot from mostly outside, so they boxed them out. They were great." The tables turned in the middle frame when Columbus put 15 shots on Rinne, and the Predators managed just four on Bobrovsky. The Blue Jackets had the shot advantage in the third as well, 16-10. The Predators had a chance to tie late in the third, but Mike Fishers shot from the slot rang off the far post with less than 30 seconds remaining and then Bobrovsky got his glove on an attempt from Colin Wilson. "It is one of those games where you are wondering is anybody going to be able to beat either one of those guys," Columbus coach Todd Richards said. "Bob came up big at the end when the game was on the line." NOTES: Columbus made their only visit to Nashville for the 2013-14 season. The Blue Jackets and Predators were both members of the Central Division before Columbus moved to the Eastern Conference before the start of this season. ... Nashville was just 1-4-0 on its five-game homestand coming out of the Olympic break. The Predators are on the road for their next three. ... The Predators have not scored a power-play goal in their last four games.
